LETAY WILLIAMS

Letay Williams is the founder and CEO of A Little Happy Media, a production company that amplifies BIPOC talent in lead roles across multiple formats for global audiences. She discovered her passion for filmmaking at the University of the West Indies, and is a University of Victoria MFA in Creative Writing alum.Letay is a proud alumna of the 2022 BIPOC TV & Film Episodic Writers’ Lab, 2023 European Film Market’s Diversity Toolbox Program for Emerging Producers, and 2024 Reelworld Black Entrepreneurs Program (Producer Stream). Letay is also a founding member of the Caribbean Alliance of Film and Television Professionals (CAFTPro). She is the creator and screenwriter of Traytown (2020), Creators of Colour’s 2021 Big Pitch at TIFF Audience Choice award winner. She recently served as Consulting Producer for Aisha’s Story (2025) which world-premiered at Hot Docs and opened at DOXA.Letay is currently in development with funding from Telefilm Canada and Creative BC, and is producing her debut feature film, a Canada-Jamaica co-production. Letay is intentional about telling stories that reflect her Jamaican heritage and the multicultural aspects of Canada.
